So 39 weeks is considered full term now and my doctor wants to induce me at 36 weeks no I'm not doing it now I want my son to be full term and healthy. I do not want anything to be wrong. I'm going to try everything to make sure my uterus expands out more.
Normally 37 weeks is full term until 40 weeks. From 37 weeks on your baby gains a 1/2 a lb a week
@katiem2053, I am going to talk to another doctor to get another options. Thanks
I understand your concern about going early but doctors are trained, if it were me I would get a second opinion and if both doctors say yes I would absolutely induce!
@halsey11, idk I just want my son to be healthy. There are a few things I can try at home to help it expand so we'll see what theses next 11 weeks and 2 days hold
@xxrockeyy11_26_16, obviously if baby isn't thriving inside, outside is better. Even if it's a couple weeks early.
@ceeasquared, true but they did at one point considered it.
@halsey11, it is for a medical reason my uterus is not expanding the way it should be.
Someone I babysat for had to be induced at 36 weeks because her baby wasn't growing properly on the inside, she had her little girl a day after I had my boy. I was 41+5 and he weighed 8lbs14oz, her baby was 4lbs. Now at two months mine is 14lbs and is considered huge, but was 2 weeks late, and her is 6lbs. but a month early. It's crazy how much difference a couple weeks can make and how our EDDs can be up to two weeks off!
Unless it's for medical reasons!! I had to be induced with my oldest at 36 weeks due to high blood pressure. She was 6lbs 6oz, didn't require any nicu stay....
36 weeks has NEVER been considered full term. Even before the change. I wouldn't go for it.
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
so full Term is not at 37 weeks Anymore??
do to some studies Full Term now is at 39 weeks?
anyone else heard of this???
I WANT MY BABY ! 😡 takes 40 weeks??? Seriously though!!! 😩😫 new date given so now I'm 36w2d
Question at how many weeks do you mommas consider full term ❓❓❓
I wonder if my Dr will strip my membrane tmrw. Before yall start saying it won't help, I've been dilating a cm every week and if she's going to come this week I'll be 37w she will be full term so it's ok! I just dont need her coming while I'm out and about taking care of things for my other kids I'm literally doing EVERYTHING alone!! *years ago they considered 37w full term, they just keep changing the damn weeks*
Okay @hannahrose61516
