What is the name of your pediatrician @missdee ?

I'm getting my daughter's done sometime between 4-6 months. Her pediatrician does them for $40 (earrings included). If you want to travel, her office is in Greenbelt,MD.

@amaperalta03 I get it but a gun is much faster to me personally. How long did it take for them to put the needle and the earing and all that?

Cause they use a gun. At the doctors or tattoo shop they use a needle which is so much better. At the mall they get it uneven and some of them aren't properly trained. And my mother in law found the doctor to do it. In NY. Maybe ask around and if you still can't find any place try a tattoo shop

@amaperalta03 and @kreeblim I am with you on the tattoo parlor... However, I've called like every tattoo shop in a 40 mile radius and they won't pierce minors. One would only pierce starting at age 5.

@amaperalta03 What is your reasoning for refusing to go to the mall? Sanitary reasons or them not being even, etc? Just curious. Oh and how did you find a doc that will do it? Ive just done google searches so far and can't find any peds or derms that appear to do it near me... Maybe they just don't advertise.

And if I couldn't find a doctor I was going to take her to the tattoo shop they are professionals

I got my daughters done at a doctors for $30. I refuse to ever take her to Claire's or any mall kiosk at that.

If you had a jelwery stand in the mall they should do them. I believe the piercing is free you just pay for the earring. Shouldnt cost too much either. Claires does a great job they distract baby with a toy and done quick. The little stand in the mall we have here is called Piercing Pagoda

I took my son to the mall and got his done when he was 6 months never had an issue he's 7 now and got them redone at least twice from loosing them and he fine he has no lumps in his ear what so ever . You can go to a tattoo place and still get those it's all about how you care for your ears like keep the earring clean and your ear don't sleep in them once there able to come out don't where anything to heavy for your ears etc. long as you prolly take care of your babies ears everything should be fine .

Take her to a tattoo parlor. They are professionals. Call around, you should be able to find someone better then a person trained in the mall
