Any tips on making breastfeeding less painful?
Or how to get baby to latch better? Been breastfeeding since his birth (which is like 5 days) but it still really hurts like the first day and it feels like he's pinching my nipples which makes it hurt a lot more.
Mine hurt and my left one bleed occasionally. It took about 2 weeks for it to stop being painful as hell for me. cold packs, lansinoh creme in between and i would pump the one that was sore so it wouldn't get worse
Nipple balm helps..I didn't use anything with my first born but this time I used nipple balm and I noticed it really helps sooth ur nipple! ..and honestly your nipples will hurt the first month
look up the "flipple technique" on youtube. it helped me when I was learning latch. also be sure your boobs aren't hard and engorged or they cant latch as well.
also make sure the inside of his mouth doesn't have little white patches! if it does you guys could have a little bit of thrush which makes it hurt too! My son and I are currently getting over it but early this week feeding pinched and stung the whole time! It's super common and often goes undiagnosed
until your nipple get use to breastfeeding it's going to hurt... the first couple of weeks are the worst because they are creating calluses. once that's over with you shouldn't have a problem. they have these ice pack like pads you can get and reuse until you don't need them anymore and of course the nipple cream works wonders too!
