my son will be 1 saturday but when i had about a week left i started nesting. i organized everything from the babys stuff to shoes to food in pantry. the 16th 2015 i reached a whole new level of nesting, i cleaned top to bottom i even vacuumed under my bed, and the couches, mopped everything. then at 530 am the 17th i woke up and my water broke, he was born at 723pm. to this day i swear all the cleaning sent me into labor.
Bought a Shark Vacuum, and using it on everything. Dusting, vacuuming furniture, floors, stairs, tried it on one of my dogs...
I started very early 20 weeks, I started to make lists of things to do, now I'm 36 weeks tomorrow I have decorated, bought new sofa, got a new rug, two pieces of new furniture other than things for the nursery. The cupboards have been cleaned out, I've decluttered and next is my wardrobe! I can't stop! It hasn't just affected me it's also got my husband doing the same right down to washing the car and hoovering it.
I didn't get to do things until after my baby boy was delivered. Due to my culture I couldn't buy things in advance except a carseat and one pair of clothes. All you ladies I envied your nesting phases. I for sure cleaned though.
I've started cleaning things I've never cleaned before lol been spraying organic bug spray around the house kill spiders crickets etc don't want anything that can harm my little triple threats lol. washing everything cleaning walls and stuff lol now just gotta finish buying there things
im totally nesting haha ill be washing her clothes tomorrow and begin packing her hospital bag. also my husband said this week we will take the air conditioners out so that we can paint her nursery and build her crib and changing table. ill also be purchasing her crib mattress and travel system this weekend. im stoked to finally be starting things.
I've washed all my daughters clothes, from socks, to headbands, to everything else. Washed all her bottles and put up the crib, stroller and car seat are ready to go, bassinet is up. I have diapers stocked up for 4 months worth. If she was to come today, we would literally have everything for her. Her room is spotless. Everything else is spotless!
I didn't nest till after baby! I washed clothes prior to birth & packed bags but that was it before baby. after baby, washed all clothes, vacuumed, washed couch cuchions, deep cleaned bathrooms.. cleaned the car out completely. I was on a roll.
I'm steady trying to look for things online or even in stores, free or not, and grab at them the first chance I get... Even if I already have it, I like to have a spare just in case. I also have been cleaning like a mad man... always scared I've done something wrong so I redo it. I have even rearranged everything to fit whatever space or item the baby will need 💝 It's a long process but it's turns out to be worth it even close to the end lol.
I was crazy about my house staying spotless with my last pregnancy. Everything had to be in its "home." Between contractions I yelled out "oh no!" My husband and the nurses thought something was wrong and rushed to my side asking what was wrong to which I replied, "We left the house without doing the dishes!" The nesting instinct hasn't completely dissipated yet. I feel like my house has got to be ship shape for my kids to properly destroy it haha
When I nested around 30 weeks with each pregnancy..I would wash all Nb, 0-3 mo clothes, was baby bedding, anywhere baby would touch was washed, bought plenty sanitizer, bleach, cleaning tools, organized all clothes (color coded) and put them neatly away. Set up bassinet, packed baby's bag, put bouncers together and the playyard.
I had my sons crib and stroller put together 2 months before he was due. I washed all his clothes 5 months before he was due and after babyshowers I washed all those.
