Some advice please.. my little one is 2 weeks old today? She seems to have a little cough (by little I mean I heard her cough a couple times yesterday and once today.. yes I may be paranoid) she's feeding well and seems fine in herself.. she is already quite unsettled which I believe is due to her first week in hospital and on antibiotics etc. and she is having infacol for trapped wind.. she has lots of wet nappies and has gone poop today. Did anybody else's little one have a small cough around this age? I know that sneezing is normal just don't like the cough.. she doesn't appear to be struggling for breathe or anything so can coughing just be normal like sneezing? tia x

She might have picked up a virus the weather is changing constantly which doesn't help.

I don't know about a cough but Max would make a cough/choking sound every now & then. Maybe once a day or so. When I asked the midwife about it she said it was probably bile from when he was born. Sometimes they get it clogged up & it takes a little while to clear.

She did have a bit of mucus when she was born which she sometimes choked on and heaved it could be that and she's coughing to try and get it gone but I've only noticed it in the past couple days but then it could be a virus like u say @suzie80 I don't like it that babies are so delicate lol

I know what u mean. At two weeks old she wouldn't have mucus left but if she has a productive cough at any point I'd get her checked out. But babies can and do cough. And they scare u a lot lol

It's horrible I didn't think I'd be so paranoid about everything! lol I work with kids and been brought up with kids and I'm fine but when it's your own it's completely different

My little boy had a bit of a cough and sneezing around that time too. I was also in hospital for 8 days on antibiotics for both of us but when I asked health visitor she said it was him getting used to dust and new things in the air. If you're worried though hun pop the doctors just to be safe and to put your mind at rest xxx

Thank you @jetrum I'll keep an eye on her and if it doesn't improve or gets worse I will be getting her checked out but hopefully it's what u say because as I said I can count on one hand how many times she's coughed in the past couple days and she's still drinking and I've checked her temp and it's fine :) I'll keep an extra careful eye on her but thank you that helped xx

3 month old bleeding monthly

3 month old bleeding monthly So I have no clue if this is normal or if I should be worried. Of course I am a little worried anyways but my 3 month old baby girl has had pink blood in her diaper atleast one day each month. It's like a little pink streak. I know her bleeding that first month is normal but every month? It's like she has a mini period/spotting. I would call her doctor but the only working phone we own is my husbands and he's at work. This is the 3rd month it's happened and I'm a little worried. Any advice or information would be appreciated. She doesn't seem fussy or like she's hurting. Her little breasts have are swollen again too (they feel like a little hard lump)

My baby girl is now 18 days young 🥰....

My baby girl is now 18 days young 🥰.... She’s been having really frequent stools yesterday and today. Like when she farts she pops a little bit.... or when she cries she poops a little bit ..... and because of her frequent pooping she got a bad rash on her butt. I’m worried she might have diarrhea. She doesn’t seem fuzzy.... her body temperature is Normal........ just that her stools have been a lot more frequent , like I mean a lot. Has anybody had the same experience ?
