the crackheads downstairs smoke in their apartment and it's starting to drive me fucking insane.. it makes me so nauseous and everything i own smells like stale cigarette butts..
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

You should talk to the landlord, For that exact reason is why a lot of buildings are smoke free. We're not allowed to smoke in ours (even though we don't smoke) but if one of the neighbors were to smoke we can report them and they'll get either a warning or kicked out. Because the smell and smoke can travel through the vents

I'd tell the landloard and review your lease to see if it's a no smoking complex. I know my apartment complex no one is allowed to smoke inside their unit.

when we moved in we were told "this is a no smoking, no partying complex.. everyone here just wants quiet"
liaaarrrr.. I've been dealing with parties, cigarettes, and weed ever since I moved in and it's driving me insane

Yeah you should definitely talk to the landlord. It's not good for you to deal with all that pregnant, especially the smoke and smell. I used to have party neighbors upstairs and I used to try to let it rock until they got out of control one time, I called the landlord they got kicked out. I didn't feel bad one bit, I was letting them rock but they took it tol far.

I'd move if the landloard can't inforce the things in the lease then you can break the contract. Our landlord told us if they couldn't uphold their end that we could break our contract and not have to pay first and last months rent. But every state is different and every apartment complex is different.

we've complained before about the people that used to live across from us, they threw a party on a Thursday night.. and the landlord never even texted us/called us back or followed up on the matter
I'm going to see if I can get some like.. note from the doctor saying it's either them or me that leaves. idk if that's even a thing lol
