Keep using mothers love cream I promise after 2 weeks the pain is a lot less I use to cry and scream everytime she latched I also nursed through a slit nipple now at 7 weeks later I barely feel any pain good luck mama!

i did the nipple sheild too but it made my supply go way down...so to let my nipples heal i just pumped during the day five times -every three hours and i kept thinking his latch would get better but it didnt im still just barely pumping a little at 5 momths he drinks mostly formula..... sorry my storys not so successful he had an extremely bad latch i would cry the whole time he was feeding it was hell the first six weeks until i used the sheild and started pumping..... i felt like i couldnt enjoy my baby

Make sure you have proper positioning and the baby has a good latch. I used lanolin and soothing gel pads for the pain. Nipple shield to help my son latch correctly. With time it gets better
