So I forgot to post my home birth experience so here it is, most of it anyways.

OK so, I went into labor with my water breaking at 9:37 p.m. My labor lasted for 4 hours (2 hours longer than Zarys) and was very different from her labor in so many ways. The first 2 hours were a breeze, I sat in the pool to help ease the few contractions I was getting while i video chatted with my sisters (who both fell asleep on me while we were video chatting). Contractions gradually picked up to the point I couldn't talk through them and my most comfortable position became squatting with most of my face buried in the water. The next 2 hrs went very quickly but became what I thought was unbearable. Right when I began to push, Zary woke up. When she noticed I was in pain and screaming she freaked and started yelling "mama u K?" Honestly, that and my husband's prayers helped push me through when I thought I just couldn't anymore. I checked for his head and he was right there but it seemed like every time he started coming out, he would go back in once I stopped pushing. Finally his head emerged as I literally tore apart in my own hands, one more push and I birthed his body. He started crying almost immediately and Zary still stood next to me wanting to be excited yet still concerned and saying "baby" and "mama u k? " This was the most amazing experience of my life, I birthed my son, at home, in the birthing pool with my family by my side. I TOOK BACK BIRTH! Our son is healthy and so damn beautiful, he latched perfectly for his first feed while we were still in the pool trying to deliver the placenta which got snagged on my pelvic bone and I unfortunately had to tear it to get it released. We are all doing amazing and I have no one to thank for that but the Most High!
