horrible tmi that I can't share anywhere else rn:
one of our tenants, who also lives a block away, had a gun go off in there home. Someone inside was shot and killed 😭 I was at work when this happened so my husband walked to a decent distance to see who was there and who all was okay. The ones he couldn't see were a 16yr old boy and the 7 yr old boy (who just recently had his bday party). We don't know who was killed or if it was a suicide or accident.
we have to wait for either a call from them or when the news gets released. Because of the husker game I don't know how long it'll be before the story is covered. Also because of being a mom I don't think I'd be calling my landlords any time soon if my child ended up shot and killed in my home... especially when everyone was home at the time. I'd be way to damn distraught!
I want to go comfort them because I know the incident happened, even if I don't know all the details, but I don't want to be in there business when they are not ready for others to provide sympathy or comfort...
I don't know what I would ever do in their situation! loosing a child, in your home when you feel you could have prevented it because you were home, and especially like that... I'm crying just knowing the parts I do.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Locking your doors
We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?

My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
