Does anyone have any tips on how to get my 2 day old daughter to latch better:/ she only will on the left boob as well
It gets better with time. They need to constant nursing/comfort. She's also building up your supply. The thing with constant nursing is people thing baby isn't getting enough and start to supplement with formula when it's completely normal. Cluster feeding happens with growth spurts and teething too. It's exhausting but worth it. You're providing her with the best nutrition for her.
@emilyd, breast feeding is so hard😕 I can't ever sleep because she always wants to be eating
@emilyd, I just tried and that actually worked, she favorites the left side
Are you doing a cross cradle hold? If so, trying nursing her in a football hold on the left side and then just slide her over to the right breast (cross cradle) when you are ready to switch sides. My son favored my right breast when we started nursing and I would just slide him over to the other breast. He never knew the difference and now he's a champion nurser!
@kaileenicole16, my little guy won't fall asleep unless he's nursing. Its difficult sometimes but I really love that time that I get to spend with him at the end of the day. Breastfeeding is such a beautiful bond. It does get better. Just keep working at it, warrior mama!
