I pee every 5 mins when I drink a lot of water. It's always super light pee but I'm worried that I'm not retaining water either cause why am I peeing it out so quick!

@ceeasquared, same here !! It's frustrating cause I don't want this to eventually lead to preterm labor

I feel your pain. I drink 1.5 L a day and it's still not enough. My pee is still super concentrated

@amaperalta03, I can understand your frustration that would be annoying especially since no one can give you a real reason for not retaining.

@ceeasquared, I've been put on fluids 2 times this pregnancy for that reason yet I'm drinking the recommended amount of water I was told to. It's annoying cause I'm again feeling contractions even though I'm drinking all this water idk what I'm doing wrong

@talean89, my doctor told me 8-10 bottles a day so I drink 10, 16oz bottles daily sometimes 12. Yet still end up dehydrated

I've had real contractions due to dehydration. I've been put on fluids 3 times

@amaperalta03, did they tell you how much u should be drinking? my Dr says it varies from how far along you are, like I'm 28 weeks and he said four 8 oz glasses a day, and to stay away from food with high sodium intake cuz that will dehydrate you too

@lillymom2016, my doctor told me to drink 8-10 bottles so I drink 10 sometimes 12 so I can avoid getting dehydrated. Like I'm literally downing water all day yet still end up dehydrated. And yes when I'm "dehydrated" my blood pressure goes up

I would try to drink between 6 and 8 bottles of water every day and it was so hard, I don't really like water unless it's super cold. She's pregnant again and has already had one scare from being dehydrated and it raising her blood pressure. Did you have any problems with blood pressure?

@lillymom2016, I had my first at 29 weeks but never got told why she came early I think it was cause of dehydration. And now this pregnancy I've had two scared and they say it's cause I'm dehydrated but I drink so much water.

@talean89, same here. I had two scares one at 27 weeks and another the other day where I was having contractions all day and go to the hospital and they say I'm dehydrated. I drink the amount they tell me to but I always ended up having contractions

Me well it caused contractions I had to get iv and thankfully they stopped

I was told by my Dr dehydration can start contractions
