How many maternity pads did you ladies take when you went into labour and how many did you actually use? also can I just buy sanitary towels to use for when I come home?

At least one then but I bleed a lot and loose a lot of water too

I used loads!! like a whole pack of mother care maternity pads, think there were about 50 in them but as @suzie80 said, I lost a lot of water throughout the day and bled heavily afterwards xxx

I wouldn't use sanitary pads, they don't hold enough, I went through a whole pack of maternity pads in the one day I was in hospital, you'll bleed a lot after birth xx

Got a pack of always night time pads (the blue ones) and about 10 proper maternity pads from tesco in my hospital bag. Xx
