Constant period pain for the last few hours... I know period pains are a sign of labour so things are hopefully starting but are they meant to come and go or is it normal to be constant?

I've been have no these on n off all afternoon now keep getting the feeling I need a Num 2 but can't go sorry 🙈 n it's difficult to wee too X not getting my hopes up x
