i have a question for everyone...whether or not you have had your baby(s) yet..
my husband is having his first baby and this will be my second, i didnt take birthing classes with my son cuz my mom was my birth coach haha but would it be beneficial for us to take one so he gets a feel of whats goin to happen? its only gonna be us in the room cuz i want a very intimate and private birth with the man i fell so deeply in love with and to allow him to fully experience the beautiful time of birth of his first baby girl. hes on the fence if he wants to take classes but i have 9 weeks to go still so i have time to talk him into em lol
I really don't think there is anything you can do to prepare him. I mean even if you describe you're first experience, a moms experience is different from the dads experience during labor. I really think he just needs to experience it for himself. No matter what, it will be a bonding experience for both of you. Maybe just check in with him every week to see if he has any questions about it or something? @kaygee612
should i do anything to kinda mentally prepare him for being a first time dad? he came into my sons and my life when my boy was about 17 months old and missed the 'hard part' as he describes it lol
Honestly, I found it to be a waste of time when I went with my first. It didn't help me at all and all labors and births are different. I would just leave it up to him.
haha i dont wanna scar him, i kinda already did cuz i showed him what an episiotomy is and how my placenta looked after my son was born and explained the complications that can arise...hes more scared of me getting a c section than anything @babes101116
i wouldnt worry about questions to him lol he does a great job of asking me and his female family members questions about birth lol i think hes just nervous for it all
