When do you schedule your child's first pediatrician appointment ?

The pediatrician at the hospital told me they wanted to see her on Thursday when I was discharged on Tuesday, so I just called Wednesday morning and made an appointment!

My daughter was born on a Tuesday and her doctor came everyday to the hospital to check on her. The hospital actually called the doctor office and set up her appt and when I got discharged is when they told me when it was

My daughter came home on a Sunday so Monday morning I called and her pediatrician saw her Tuesday

the pediatrician at the hospital will see her after she's born, then before you're discharged they should tell you when they want to see her again. I was discharged on a Sunday so I called the day after we got home.

at the hospital or even when you get home for the first week check up I think is for when the baby is a week old but they tell you at the hospital. some babies need to see the pediatrician earlier than others.

they usually like for her to have one about 5-6days after birth
