I obv knew you meant umbilical but was just confused what you meant.... Never heard of buying it. What's the benefit of doing that?

Things are so different in CA though I just moved from long beach area a little over a year ago to Oregon and its soooo different up here.

That sucks! Not to mention how sketchy that is! I'm not going to be charged for mine the only charge I'll have is once the doula comes to pick up my placenta from the hospital she's going to encapsulate the placenta for me so I'll have to pay for her services and then they give you the cord as keep sake afterwards. Did you want yours for keep sake or cord blood banking?

@kambam, you don't have to , you have the option to keep it and if you want to you have to pay for it , there's no disputing on it that's how it is down here .
