hope all goes well hun . I was induced with my son at 38 weeks and same with my daughter now a week and 1 day old .
first time round was really quick as I dilated much quicker than this time I had to have a hormone drip to make my contractions stronger and more frequent I would just say breath in and out as much as you can when in pain it helped me so much I had gas and air and a failed epidural my whole labour was 7hours 30 mins she came out in 17 mins quicker than my son he was 1 hour 32 mins coming out but labour wasn't as long . if you need pain relief have it I got to 5 cm and asked for gas and air then the epidural she got in at the last min but the heart clip fell of babies head and by that time I started to push so didn't have time for it to work I had another 2nd degree tear and some cuts in side but it's healing really well .

I walked around a bit after she broke my waters and was on a ball bouncing but didn't really do anything I couldn't be as mobile cause I had the hormone drip an insilin and glucose drip fluid one I was all hooked up.

my waters broke the morning I was due to be induced but still ended up having the hormone drip to help push things along as there was meconium in the waters. I can't really say it was horrendous contractions from the drip as this is my first child but I did manage on gas and air for around 6-7 hours before I was persuaded to have the epidural by midwife...I was still reluctant to have it but I did in the end and I'm glad I did as A) it just stops the pain and B) I was rushed down for an emergency c section so if I hadn't have had the epidural I would have been put to sleep for it. Good luck! lots of walking and ball bouncing as soon as they've started you off! xxx
