Breastfeeding...i struggled the first time around but this time I'm DETERMINED to be successful.. Im pumping and drinking lots of water but I would love tips on how to store my milk and how to boost production :) I red that I power pump 20 minutes off 10 on 10 off 20 basically mimic cluster feeding. this helps ? and to drink 100 oz of water a day. the more the water the more the milk? I would love ANY tips please :)

that's what I did in the hospital and it felt really good she latched awesome, sadly I can't do this throughout the day because I have a 2 year old I have to jump up and tend to alot @kiwi314 but I do lay back throughout the night and pump after she eats and is asleep. I do only hey about an ounce at a time by morning I have about 5 ounces then I freeze it. not sure if I can pump a few days at a time and store all that milk together? @kiwi314
Know that as long as they're having regular nappies and gaining the weight they are supposed to you are doing fine. 🙂
They are starting to figure out that babies might have been designed to be stomach feeders. Try laying back at a 45 degree angle and putting baby on your chest to see if it helps. It might come more naturally to both of you. In this position, babies can maneuver more where they need to be.
it's hard to get a good latch because her mouth is so small :/ but I try to get as much as my nipple in her mouth as I can@kiwi314
Just took these notes myself on breastfeeding: Starting out bringing their nose to your nipple insures they get a good latch. Their head should be in neutral postion, no chin touching their chest. You should see more of nipple at upper lip than bottom. Afterwards your nipple should look round. If lipstick shaped your baby was too high. If flat your baby wasnt latched correctly either.
power pumping definitely helps. drinking water to stay hydrated is a must, but no you'll still have a threshold on how much you make with just drinking water.. essentially if your not hydrated your supply suffers but drinking copious amounts won't make more. the best way I've found is power pumping and putting baby to breast on demand. you can try lactation friendly foods too.
ok ladys i need to know how to build up my milk i pump because my son wont latch and i can only get a oz to a oz and a half to come out of each boob some times 2 oz if im lucky i eat good drink plenty of water and pump every hour and my son is drinking 4 to 5 oz every 2 3 hours so can anyone help on how to get more milk
My breast are heavy and full with milk but when I squeeze nothing comes out and when I try to pump nothing is pumped into the breast pump its like I have milk but its stuck and wont come out...any tips or help on this.. i really would like to breastfeed my daughter....

Any suggestions on how to pump more milk for a 34 week premie baby 🍼 I been pumping milk for 3 days now I get more and more everyday but not enough for the baby. He’s drinking formula and I don’t want him too.
