Soo happy and grateful got a free Medela breastpump as a generous offer from my mom's colleague. This will save me at least $200 since Kaiser does not cover Medela and the Ameda purely yours (Kaiser-covered) I heard is a poor quality pump.
@foreverjalisa, my insurance covers the Ameda purely yours and I am debating whether I should give it a chance despite the reviews or invest on buying the Spectra S1 because of its price ($200 hospital grade pump) and its rave reviews 🤔
I would suggest you get the one covered by insurance as well, just for a back up, it might come in handy 😊 but it is so great someone gave you a pump!!
Breast bump through Kaiser
Yesterday I did my labor and delivery tour at Kaiser. Someone asked about getting a breast pump covered by insurance. The lady said that they loan us one while in the hospital and “IF” there is a medical reason for us needing one after we leave the hospital, they will provide us with one. Is anyone else’s hospital saying the same thing? That really doesn’t make any sense to me ? they’ll only cover a breast pump if we have a medical condition?
So sad that kaiser doesn't offer to pay for water births 😭😭💔 so now it's pointless if a midwife takes insurance 😕😩
Looking to see if anyone knows the answer:
My insurance company covers a breast pump, they said I can get the Medela Breast Pump In-Style. Does anyone know if it's just the pump they send you...no attachments, or do they send you the hoses & shields too?
would you nurse uncovered in a hospital? I cover myself wherever I go when I nurse her but I'm going to her 4 month check up in an hour. I don't feel like I have to cover myself while I'm in a damn hospital. (It's kaiser)
Does anyone else have Kaiser as insurance?
I like the ameda. it works well for me
