I was so excited to tell my mother in law that we are expecting..however when we did she was just like "oh I already knew" like no hugs no congratulations...nothing..mind you I was smiling extra hard when I told her but when I seen and heard her response my smile dropped and my happiness was over. IDK what to say or how to feel.. mind you weeks before that she told us that if we have a baby shower that she wasn't getting us a gift when we get pregnant and have a baby shower because the baby might die... I never know how to respond or feel about what she says...but it does hurt my feelings.

- Like @babes101116 said. stay away she will either come around or not and if she doesn't you know exactly who she really is... don't stress about it and lean to your family be around people that want to be part of your family and baby.. because a baby is a blessing and it sometimes bring family together and or apart but wish you the best and hope you have a healthy pregnancy. don't worry you can do it with or without her. you got other family that will worry about you!! stay positive
Stay away from her. Lean on your family for support. Being a grandparent is a privilege, not a right. She wants to be negative, she can do it somewhere else
Thank you very much you ladies are amazing..but it just saddens me because she pretends to like me and says she wants to be a grandma but when it happens (or should I say when the bun is baking in the oven) she is negative about it but at the same time pretends to be happy. I'm sad because my family is close and I come from an amazing family that is always happy for one another and supportive..and my family is accepting to anyone and make all feel like family.. but than here I am with a mother in law that is just not kind to me nor really happy for us.. I try not to stress it but I just want everyone to be happy and kind. because what am I supposed to do when the baby arrives?? @marialovey7 @babes101116 @bianca_rose @adensmommy

Stay away from that negativity, she obviously isn't excited to be a grandmother so don't bother
