Another question: My FIL made Delos a piece of toast with jam on it and was gonna try to feed it to him without flat out telling me he made some for him. I'm not okay with him having sugary stuff like that. Nor am I okay with my FIL making him food without consulting me first. He doesn't know what I have been directed to give him by his pediatrician. I appreciate that he is trying but he needs to run stuff past us first before making food that's gonna be wasted. He made it right before nap time too so when he asked if Delos wanted to help him eat breakfast which is not the wording he should have used in the first place, he should have made sure we didn't have other plans or that he didn't just eat. He just had a bottle before he made the food.
Sorry I post a lot about what urks me about my FIL. It's just a way to let it out because I can't talk to my husband about it nor can I talk to my MIL.
Tbh ur gonna always have that challenge of ppl doing stuff that u don't want for ur kids and it's always 10x worse when u live with someone else
I understand that. thank you. @momtobeagain
Well maybe when the weather gets better y'all plan on going in the mean time you can look forward to it, I know it's beyond hard living with the in laws it's hard living with anyone and sometimes you just need a break.
we did that like 3 weeks ago for our anniversary. I wish weather was better or I'd say we need to go camping. @mamabear9456
Grab a tent and go camping or go fishing for the day or take a trip to the lake
Sounds like you've been having a lot of issues with him lately. Maybe y'all should go on a little getaway together go get a hotel or something and have some space.
can't afford a place of our own. can barely afford to pay car payments. don't have any extra money. any that we have automatically goes to our kids. @tayek. I appreciate the offer. I do.
@ssdj4, housing, because you guys are living two separate lifestyles and when we have preferences, it's better to have our own space. But never mind, I wasn't trying to get in your business. Just offering a little help because what you guys really need is your own place.
it's isn't a health problem. it's a personal choice we have made for him. as I have diabetes and my FIL should know better as he has diabetes too and always tells me to eat right. @tayek
If the baby has a health problem, you MUST talk. Don't be confrontational, but this is your child's health here. What state are you in? I'd love to help you find some resources. That's not an environment you need to be in.
I'm afraid to talk to him. Last time we told him how we want things to go, he got drunk and tried to beat up my husband. This was 2 years ago before kids but still. I don't want to have to deal with that and lose our last place to live. :/ @tayek
You're gonna have to talk to him...or you're gonna deal with them always trying to go against your wishes. I'd be mad too, because I have kids with food allergies and no matter how yummy or innocent something is, it could really harm them. You're gonna have to level with them, WITHOUT being anything but matter of fact, and tell them what and why. If they don't respect it, you'll know to be extra vigilant.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
I need help!!! Something is wrong with my dog and I have no money or job to take him to the vet. I think hes dying idk
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
I was thinking about just making a ham instead of a turkey its my first year cooking thanksgiving dinner and I have to do it alone. Plus I've never made a turkey before.
I agree with @Tayek and @Momtobeagain ive seen my mom do it when my niece is here. She doesn't intentionally do the wrong thing but she tries to "help out" and it's just in her own way. & my mom is who she is, she can try to work on it but she will always do what she thinks is best first - if that makes any sense...
