membrane sweep tomorrow!!! and if that doesn't work we are setting an induction date.. super nervous hopefully it helps. ladies I don't want to get induced so any advice on what to do after I have the sweep done?

my due date is Monday so I'm hoping she is here before that or on Monday
I was a few days from my due date so 39 weeks already. I gave birth the day before my due date

@marie07242015, wow I hope I can labor at home for a little bit and then go in and I hope I don't tear bad cause that seems painful
I don't know lol. My doctor told me if the first sweep didn't put me until labor to come back the next day to get it done again.
nope i was in labor for about 3 hours at home before coming in, after admitting me i got the epidural a few hours later and it stopped me from dialating the rest of the way so they had to put me on pitocin for a couple hours so i could get to a 10- i was only in labor for 10 hours total and only had to push for about 20 minutes and he was out with minimal tearing @mommy2isabellafae

i had been at a 3 for a couple of weeks when she did mine but after she finished she said i went to a 4 lol and when i came into L&Dom; Saturday i was still at a 4 so the sweep didn't help change that any for me @mommy2isabellafae
@marie07242015, yayyy congrats on that and I hope this sweep works a little faster for me. but as long as she is healthy and gets here safely in okay with that I'm gonna try to be as active as I can Tuesday and Wed I'm shooting for baby by Thursday :) how far dilated were you @marie07242015
i had mine swept last Tuesday and didn't go into labor until 3am Saturday morning, im not sure if it just took longer for the sweep to work for me or if he just decided thats when he was ready to go! but afterwards i walked alot, bounced on my ball, and went up and down the stairs as much as i could. finally late friday night into Saturday morning we decided to try aromatherapy massage with lavender oil and a warm relaxing lavender bath, 12 hours later he arrived!
Yeah lol well my first sweep didn't hurt at all. It just felt like they were checking for dilation. But my second one hurt a lot because my sweeps were not even 24 hours apart so I was still uncomfortable from the last one
when they do they sweep they irritate the cervix right? so I'm sure it would feel uncomfortable for anyone unless you have a high pain tolerance which I don't have lol @itsjasmine
lol I did have sex but it hurt quite a bit. It may be different for you. But for me it was really uncomfortable

Haha yes girl! I wish I could like people's comments too! 😁 I was active all day. We went to Dave and Busters after my sweep and we walked a lot there plus I was playing lots of games that required me to move lol. And then after that we went home to chill for a little. Played a little Just Dance on the XBox and went for an hour walk. And if possible id walk up and down hills if we ran into any. I was only 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. :) I got a second sweep done the day I had my bloody show and that almost instantly started my contractions
@itsjasmine I know this isn't facebook lol but I wish I could like the comments so you guys know I read them.. did you walk all day and just stay active? and were you dilated at all before you had it done?
I walked after I had mine done and the next morning I had my bloody show. :)
