What should determine who's last name the baby gets? My sons father basically told me a few weeks ago he didn't want me living with him anymore and I'm not about to sit there and argue so I moved out.. Not even a week later he moved his friend and his friends girlfriend in and gave them what was suppose to be OUR SONS ROOM. So I'm super pissed about that. And I'm on the fence about giving our son his last name!!! Am I wrong for that???

personally I think unless your married, the child gets moms last name
In my opinion......... a child gets the mothers last name unless the parents are married, then I believe the child should get the man's name.
Men are totally different than us. I thought my boyfriend was the same way but once my son got here I seen another side of him. Just because you think he isn't interested doesn't mean he's not. Give him a chance and see how he acts after baby is here
@irishtwinmomma, no it's not I'm not spiteful. I want to give him his last name. But I don't feel he deserves it. He hasn't shown any interest in our son at all never wanted to feel him kick or help me set up his room when I was living there. I had to jump on his ass to put the crib together that I BOUGHT. Now that I'm gone he doesn't have anything for our son like he hasn't bought a damn thing. Not one thing

I wouldn't give him his fathers last name. Nope no way in hell. Especially if I pushed the baby out and some shit like this happened. That baby is mine!
@morganmurphy, you can give your child whatever name you want! You dont even have to put him on the birth certificate if you dont want to... you do what you feel is right for your child
nope I'd give him your last name that's what my sister did and to put him on the birth certificate he had to have a DNA test and then put on it and then pay child support. They still have my sisters last name though she kept it that way
No you aren't wrong, if you want your child to have your last name that's your decision, no one else's
I had my mom's last name until 1st grade. if the father proves himself worthy in the future then you can change it
