What would you do/assume if you saw a text on your partners phone from or to his ex saying "night night xx"? I asked him why he had something like that from her and he denied all knowledge, tried to change the subject and when I asked him to get his texts back up he says "no, I don't need to prove anything to you!"
Would you assume he's cheating... If he's not cheating then he's definitely hiding something wouldn't you agree?

Whether there's anything going on or not he's hiding the fact he's messaging her & not allowing you to see. Which yes comes across as if there's more going on because he's not being open with you. I agree if there's nothing going on he should be able to show you. Any partner who refuses access to their phone is hiding something. Either of you should be able to pick up each other's phone without hesitating @jodieiokie I'd be demanding answers. Could just be harmless messaging but still I'd be pissed.
That is what i mean in being proof, there is no need to hide anything men can be stupid and stubborn if they think they r being accused of something, they just become defensive, but how would he feel if the shoe was on other foot and he had seen a message from ur ex! @jodieiokie, I saw a few texts from my bf's ex on his phone ... And I mentioned it to him and he just explained it was a work thing ( they work together ) and then showed me the texts. I would explain to him how this makes u feel and while he " doesn't need to prove anything to you " like he said.. That he also wouldn't be actively hiding anything if there wasn't anything to hide... Just like @lauramorg said.. Boys are very stupidxx

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

I've been in this position too many times!! I seen texts and he was definitely hiding things.. If I asked to go on his phone to go on a website or something he'd question the hell out of it he would also be right over my shoulder watching what I was doing. He had a pin on his phone.. He's not very imaginative lol!! He would take his phone everywhere with him!! Men are so obvious but even though they're in the wrong they make you feel like your going crazy and just imagining things that aren't there! Go with your gut feeling Hun!! Xx
