DO NOT forward face your baby any sooner then age two. Its even better if you rear face until age 4. They're little bodies just aren't strong enough to withstand the inpact from a crash forward facing they can become seriously injured or even die. Please Please do your research before deciding to forward face your precious little one. I will give a couple of links to articles and youtube videos in the comments.
I have a few friends on Facebook who have their babies (1year or younger) forward facing and it scares me. My daughter is the same age as them (will be one in 2 weeks) and I still have her rear facing and plan to keep her rear facing
My old state (Pennsylvania) finally just got a law stating that children under 2 have to be rear facing. Where I live has the same law.
@ehq, okaayy (: I just wasn't sure what you meant. I have been seeing a lot of tiny little ones being forward faced too soon. I have a family member who lost a little one at the age of one from an accident her little one was forward facing. They didn't think it would ever happen to them but it did. I just hope more people do their research before forward facing. we are all excited to see our littles reach a milestone but forward facing is not a milestone to be excited about...
@ehq, what do you mean a certain way? The law now in some states is age two or weight or height limit of the seat. But just because they reach the weight and height limit does not mean their tiny bodies can withstand the impact of a crash forward facing. If anyone is wanting to extend rear facing I'd recommend a graco extend2fit
YESSSSSS.
