He's getting enough. Their little tummy is really small. He wants to be next to you and he can also hear your heart beat. It's comforting. My baby boy is 7 weeks and still does it. He's almost 3 weeks.. but idk I just feel like I'm not producing enough because he just sucks and sucks but I don't hear alot of swallowing. @misslovalots

babies nurse for more than just food. he can use you for comfort too. my son would do the same. as long as he is gaining weight & getting the right amount of wet diapers you are fine. this is a very common misconception about breastfeeding.

also you don't always hear baby drinking. if he is comfort nursing you won't hear anything

yes. make sure your doctor is pro bf. some get paid to push formula & the charts they use are from formula fed babies. nothing wrong with formula but if you are trying ebf don't let doctor bully you into it. some do. some babies do need formula as well. just something i thought you should know. my son is small because well i am lol so any other dr would have made me supplement but i wanna ebf so my doctor let me know.

I knew my doctor because he was our doctor when my siblings & i were little. you could tell him how you feel about it & see how he responds but know you can always get a second opinion if you do not believe what they say. I'm not saying all dr are like that. some babies do need to supplement but not all.
