WALKING ADVICE NEEDED
Okay so my girl just turned 10 months. She's been cruising for a while and will walk while holding one of my hands but she hasn't taken any steps completely alone, yet. Does anyone have certain exercises/tips that did the job for your little one? That help them take their first step without help? Thanks ladies!
There not much we can do, tbh...You can try and encourage it by giving her lots of free space and calling her to you while she is standing, but it won't happen til she is ready lol my girl pulled up to a stand by herself and started cruising at 6.5 months, so she was SUPER early, but she didn't start taking a step without holding til about 9 months, and even then she doesn't walk all the time, only a bit here and there throughout the day...she was getting really good and then at 11 months she got an ear infection and stopped trusting her balance and wouldn't walk anymore...her birthday is in 6 days and she is only now starting to realize she can trust herself again, although it is slow coming...she'll walk a few steps a few times a day whereas she WAS walking clear across the room before ear infection....my best advice is just let it happen when she is ready lol cuz they are stubborn or nervous or both lol
wrap a ruler in fabric and have her hold onto it like it's a handle. She'll feel more secure and begin to take those first independent steps. However, she may just need more time to strengthen her muscles. work with her on squatting. Have her squat and reach up for snacks or toys. do not give them if she stands.. This encourages core strength which helps tremendously with beginning walkers
@santistevanmommie, lol I try and she just squats down and starts crawling. Or she falls. One of the two hahaha 😂
Haha but you could try letting go of her hand as she walks and see what she does
Honestly I didn't do much of anything. One day Caleigha just decided she didn't need to hold on to anything anymore.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
@hellosweetie, @showersoverflowers that's what everyone said about crawling too lol but I found an exercise and I tried it a couple times and she immediately started crawling everywhere. Just hoping there's a trick for walking too :/ lol
