Well called my doctor about some pressure and other things and they're having me come in to get checked for dilation which they normally don't check for until 38 weeks and I'm only 36! 😰I'm a bit nervous!
@asht09, Thank you! :) It's very worth it! I've always wanted children so I'm excited. At first I was upset by the stretch marks but she's totally worth it :)
@1sttimemummy, Awwww first time mommy Congratulations. Just think of it this way it's all worth it in the end. I'm miserable my self hoping she comes soon.
@asht09, This is my first that I've carried haha but, yeah and I'm ok with her waiting until she's good and ready I definitely hate this pressure though! To think it's just going to be this way until she's born is like 😧 haha
@1sttimemummy, If u already have had a baby ur body doesn't go back to normal from what I understand. Because my cervix is soft also. Hopefully she'll come soon for u. It's so uncomfortable being pregnant already.
@asht09, Cervix is soft and she could feel the babies head but, no dilation. So she doesn't think I'll go into labor for a few weeks! All the pressure is just her being so far down.
Lol that's what I said.. she said today that it could be 2 days or 2 weeks and that everyone dilated different lol @1sttimemummy
my doctor literally said it's just a guideline and that it's not a way to tell when you will go into labor lol @1sttimemummy
I was 2cm when I was checked and I had no spotting afterwards. My doctor didn't seemed concerned at all about me going into labor this early. My daughter is also measuring 2 weeks ahead though. He's checking me again next week at my 36 week appointment. I wouldn't worry, babies after 35 weeks don't normally have to be in NICU and if they are then it's not very long. Baby will come when it's ready. Who knows, I could go into labor tomorrow or have to wait for my induction at 38 weeks.
@courtney.emond, That's the thing I feel with getting checked is it's not really the best at determining exactly how much longer you have haha
@heatherlg88, Haha well good luck! Ideally I'd like her to stay in until like the 21st of next month haha but, 2 weeks would be fine too!
I've been checked since 35 weeks and I was 1cm dilated. checked again today at 38 weeks 2cm and 60% effaced and some spotting after about an hour and a half which they told me to expect.
just relax, it's slightly uncomfortable but not as bad as a pap. lol yeah, same here, I'm hoping mine stays in for 3 more weeks, but two will be alright. lol
@heatherlg88, That really puts my mind at ease haha I was scared for it haha
I've been checked since 30 weeks..not so bad, & so far im still not dilated. so the women who say getting check causes labor or contractions & such have been wrong about it, for me anyways. I've had no cramping & no bleeding or contractions afterwards. good luck girl! hopefully your baby stays in a little longer😘
@haleymclain1121, I'm just concerned a little because my doctor doesn't check this early unless there's reason to :/
@fallon_fairytale, I think it depends on the Dr. because mine don't wanna check till I'm 38 weeks.
@fallon_fairytale, Right!? When I first asked when they checked and they said 38 I was like for real!!? Most women seem to have their babies then!
Since when don't they check at 36 weeks? That's weird! I'm 37 now but was checked last week. Good luck chicka!
@asht09, Totally haha if she's ready, she's ready. There's no stopping her haha
@1sttimemummy, Welcome. N I just think in general they come when there ready.
@asht09, Thank you! I'd love to see her soon but, I'd at least like her to hold off a couple more weeks!
@1sttimemummy, Ur welcome. Oh ur gonna love being a mom it's all worth it every stretch mark, sleep less night,
