When do they usually start doing the cervix check? And how often do they do it? I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and I also have my doctors appointment, just curious on what to expect.

I was checked at week 37 and 39. I delivered 3 days prior to my due date. My doctor would  not check me at week 38, apparently  that's just her thing.

Does it hurt? I'm "high risk" so I'm surprised my doctor hasn't done it already. I'm almost 100% sure I will get it done tomorrow.
