Okay so my doctor doesn't deliver he just did all my prenatal visits .. so when I go to the hospital tonight there's a chance a midwife will deliver my baby ... what is the difference between a midwife & ob?

Okay I feel better now I was kinda worried about someone other than a doctor delivering my baby . & he no he doesn't deliver it's kinda like a clinic thing I go to @shellbell0391
I have a midwife they just can't do surgeries or high risk !!
If you have a normal pregnancy and have a normal delivery a midwife is great, so if there is one that does end up delivering your baby don't worry!!!!
Midwives are cool tho cause they're more like soft and personable and helpful, doctors are more hard and serious. I liked the one midwife that I met with but I really like my doctor too. Lots of people prefer midwives over docs. They actually work in tandem with doctors, or they should. The only difference is they're not able to do surgeries or work with high risk pregnancies, a doctor would step in then
There's gotta be a doctor that delivers.... Midwives can deliver but if something happens where you need an emergency c section a doc has to be there....
I have a midwife, they can deliver the baby vaginally but if you would end up needed a c-section they cannot preform it.
