Do you time how long a contraction lasts or just how far apart they are? Not entirely sure what a contraction feels like... it felt like the underside of my tummy felt tight kind of like a menstrual cramps but very light.

time both, how far apart they are and how long they last, when my contractions got real, they started in my back and wrapped around my belly and my stomach got really tight and hard and it was like a menstrual cramp on steroids

Yeah that could be the start of one, it sounds like a light contraction though, but if you keep noticing them, start timing them
