wish I could be induced already. my next appointment is this Friday and my due date is next Sunday. hopefully they check me to see if im dilated its been almost 4 weeks since I've been checked. how far long do you have to be to be induced? my friend was 37 weeks and she had no medical reason and they did it for her. lord have mercy I just want this child out of me . so uncomfortable and the pain in my back hurts like a mofo.

@paisleysmommy97 Due date is just an estimate. Some babies need to cook longer and if your body isn't ready for labor you could end up in csection. It is advised to be aware of the risks.
@kendrah3, so idk if I should call and ask that's if I don't go into labor before Friday. Idk what to do Lol
I wonder if its different in different states I live in upstate NY and my sister says you have to be a week past your due date in order to be induced.
You should consider the fact that inductions can be dangerous before being so ready to ask for one.
I asked my dr last Wednesday and he just said I had to be 39 weeks and we got it set up. I was 1 and a half and 50% effaced which I've been since 36 weeks @paisleysmommy97
when did you ask your doctor? and how man centimeters do you have to be? im scared that they wont do it if im not dilated.

Finally, after nearly FORTY-TWO weeks... I decided to get induced. Baby Violet scared me with some decreased fetal movement and I couldn't wait any longer.
I am so upset! Went for my 33 week checkup and they told me I have 2 stds! I have not been with anyone other than my sons dad and he says he has been faithful to me I have been crying all morning!

My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...

Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
