🤔 I should probably get a move on my birth plan huh?

@sweetsesame, ha ha I know! I'm pretty sure it does say in the maternity notes book that you midwife is meant to go through your birth plan with you but clearly mine thinks it's a cut above her pay grade 😂😂 xx

Lol cheeky woman, mine said she'd go through it with me and the midwife looking after you in hospital is supposed to read it too @kmcf2302

@sweetsesame, I asked my midwife about my birth plan and her reply was "oh no, the birth plan is for you, not for us .. We don't discuss it with you, it's just for you to familiarise yourself with the different options " lol xx

I did a birth plan, asked to discuss it with the midwives and they all brushed me off, I did however just tell them as we went along such as OH cutting the cord, baby to be wiped down as she's put on me, OH to be the one to dress her. What I would suggest is make it very flexible so that if you can't do things then you won't be too disheartened xx

Very true, there's no planning with births but I'd like to jot a few things down like which pain relief I'd like to try if I can't cope etc nothing major @sara-lou @stacey804

I agree labour can go anyway & often not to plan @sweetsesame However I do think their worth the time to go through, even if just for yourself so you know what to expect or what may happen/ your choices & wishes. Both times the midwives have read mine so they knew what I did & didn't want with regards to pain relief, feeding baby after etc

To be honest, it's pointless. My birth plan was never used in labour! Nothing went to plan. Xx
