My baby will turn two months in two days. She is a breast fed baby, but every now and then she will have some formula too. I'm trying to get her used to both so she won't be picky and also when I return to work it can be easier for my mother in law to baby sit her. I noticed two ounces isn't filling her much anymore but I'm afraid to over feed her which I accidentally did once and she threw up everything she ate. I was wondering if I should add a little of baby cereal into her formula only at night right before bed to satisfy her hunger more but is two months too early to give her baby cereal? How old does a baby need to be in order to give baby cereal? Please give me real and good advice I need help!
I breast feed my son during the day (pumped milk and breast) and the give formula at night. I work full time and need my rest. The formula helps him to sleep longer. And me too. If you're worried about spitting up I would give a few oz and take a break and then a few more oz's
I feed mine every 3 hours, my s doctor said if they go the 2 1/2 to 3 hours and don't get fussy before then, they are good....if they don't last that long it's time to up their intake by 1/2 am ounce. You should talk to your pediatrician, I'm sure you could call them, tell them what's going on and they can suggest what you should do. @unicorncloud
My baby girl is breast fed and formula fed..I don't pump just latch her on..and when I give her formula she drinks 4 oz she is 2 months ..you'll know when your baby is full they'll fall asleep or stop sucking..try giving a little more?
2 months is definitely too early for baby cereal. I've heard some people start it around 4 months, but we waited til 6 months with or first. If you are really concerned about her getting enough food, take to her pediatrician. Your milk/formula is all baby needs at this age.
Is two months too young for a little cereal in her formula?
Just need to get it off my chest
My baby's grandmother is always mentioning how I should give her formula and it is really getting annoying. We told her how much weight she gained and she said, "Oh goodness, you might need to give her some formula because when it's time for her to walk she'll be too fat." Then when her son told her the baby was constipated she text me saying, "You might need to stop giving her that breast milk and give her some formula." I don't know why she thinks breastfeedi...
I see so many mommies giving their babies rice cereal to sleep even though it's not recommended? Why?
Omgg my baby wakes up every three hrs for milk and tonight she woke up three times 😫 should I give her rice cereal yet? She'll be two months next week.
My baby is almost two weeks old. She’s drinking 2oz of formula and she finishes the bottles. But her grandma over feed her and sometimes gives her two bottle of formula. Usually how much can she drink since she’s still two little..?
Thank you all for your answers and advice 🙂
