@yanald90, it was a bad day, he never used the nipple shield and now I only breastfeed... I will try the milk once I run out of the nipple cream. its organic so it cost $15 for 1 oz.

How did it work out? I might have some tips: use your breast milk instead of nipple cream - it will heal waaaaaay better. Don't use nipple shields, try and stick to breast only, or to bottle only, young babies can get confused Edie using depending on bottle you use. I had hard time with first month of breastfeeding so I sympathize.
@orlenas_momma, thank you
You can get it at Walmart
This is what I use
@orlenas_momma, I do have wic and I will be going on Monday morning. and I should try and lay down to see if it works. what do I buy for cracked nipple?
We had a hard time but she finally figured it out she 10 months now and still nursing do you have WIC (I went to WIC and they help me) try laying down and nursing my nurse said is is better because they are more in control
@orlenas_momma, did your baby latch on still. my son doesn't want the boob so I have to pump and put it in a bottle. I bought a nipple shield and he still don't want it.
Mine toke a week to come it
@bri28, thanks @tlw1596 @newbiemama pumping helped and I bought Gatorade a nipple shield and lentil soup. no fenugreek but I am going to my dr to buy some prenatal vitamins with folic acid
If it is so, your actual milk won't be coming in until 3-5 days after you give birth. So in that case, you have nothing to worry about. You make enough colostrum to feed your little baby. He doesn't need to drink 4 oz. his stomach is the size of a cherry and what u make now, is plenty fine. Give it a couple of days for your milk to come in completely. But in the meantime, drink plenty of water
So your baby is 1 day old? Did I read that right? @cjones
drink a bunch of water and keep pumping every two hours
@tlw1596, I think it's drying up or maybe I'm not drinking enough water because when I pump nothing comes out but drops.
@bri28 I think it started to but I don't know what is wrong but I'm not giving up yet it hasn't been 24 hours yet so I'm about to do everything I need to do that helps.
I just saw your baby is less than a week old. Has your actual milk come in yet? If so, you should be pouring
