when having a c section can I be put to sleep? I'm a panic freak knowing their cutting me open will…

If it's an emergency c section I believe they put you to sleep regardless & you can ask to be put to sleep for a scheduled c section.

Why are you preparing for the possibility of a c-section? High risk?

I was awake during my emergency c section @dang_dridri they wouldn't let me go under because of my health conditions (severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome). They numb you up so good, you don't even think about the c section. You'll be in a happy place. Don't worry about it momma!

@lovingmydaughter C-sections are much more common if you try to give birth on your back and if you're stressed during labor.

I just spent the time looking around the room and the doctors started humming. I was so out of it that I remember telling them I wanted to sing, they asked me what I wanted to sing but not a single song popped into my head, so I just kept looking around the room. Lol. It's not scary. I preferred my emergency c section over my vaginal induction.

@lovingmydaughter, yeah you don't have to be awake if you don't want to be. Me & doctor just talked about this because I'm scheduled to deliver my twins on Aug 22.

@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, lol , I probably wouldn't be able to think of a song either and yes I can't stand to watch a vaginal induction without epidural or with it 😷 I don't know how or when this baby is gonna come but I'm not ready ...

I was in and out of it during my c-section with my son on top of that they over drugged me so I was throwing up at the same time !! But I didn't feel anything but pressure during the procedure. I'm having my princess in Jan and I'm having another c-section because I can't push out a baby It's to narrow in there . When I had my son I tried pushing for 3 long hrs just to have a c-section and he was only 5 pounds such a small little baby

Im going to have to have a c section also but I'll be so out of it I won't even notice according to my doctor. it only takes a few minutes to complete I'm a bit worried but I trust my doctors.

I was put to sleep with my first child bc her heart rate was dropping and no time for the epidural. These 2 I have had the chance to be awake. Just dont look up if you have to have one
