So today was my son's first day of kindergarten and here was my experience...yesterday I met with his teacher, she told me he would be on bus 118. And gave me a card to pin to his book bag so they know what bus he gets on/off. So I put 118 as she told me. So he gets picked up at my work and the bus number wasn't 118...so I asked my coworker who also has a kindergartener but in a different class, what number they told her. They told her, her son would be on 106 (the bus that picked my son up) so I knew something wasn't right. We aren't allowed to have our phones at work. So I asked my boss if I could step out and call to get it figured out so my son isn't riding the wrong bus..she allowed me to. I stepped into her office area where it was quiet and called, the lady who answered transferred me to someone else but it went to a voice mail. So I left a message. Then I called back and asked if I could speak with transportation, they transferred my call & I got a voicemail again...My boss then told me to not stop there, I need to talk to an actual person to ensure my child would get on the correct bus. She allowed me to keep my phone out and try to call every 15-30 mins until I got an answer. I waited until about 10, called again...voice mail again..left a message. Finally at about 11 ish they called me back and told me that their info said he is to ride bus 118 to and from school which would pick him up/drop him off at our home. I informed them that they are wrong and need to put my son on the bus to my work. I was still nervous about it the rest of the day but he came home on the right bus! I was a mess all day hoping my son would be on the right bus lol.
