FTM and my baby is 4 days old. I am struggling with breastfeeding because she fights it a lot. She always wants to suck on her hands and toes and will suck on my finger but fights the boob every time. Any advice?

Squeeze your nipple and get some milk out before you nurse her. Then she knows what's coming.
Pumping is still really time consuming but it gives me peace of mind that my little man is getting enough food! We still try and latch occasionally just for bonding purposes but I give all his meals with a bottle. As long as he is getting my milk is all that matters to me! My little man is a week and a day old so we are still trying to figure out a routine! @kirt

Mine did the same! They gave me a nipple shield which helped a lot but I still was nervous he wasn't getting enough so I switched to pumping.
My daughter pushes my nipple away then cries because she really wants. Sometimes she feeds then let's go and starts sticking her hand. I usually take her hand away and squeeze the milk in her mouth then she starts sucking again.@kirt,
