I don't understand trying to self induce at 37 weeks. 37 weeks is not considered full term anymore, 39 weeks is. They've determined those last few weeks matter. If it was for a medical reason, you would be medically monitored and induced. Being tired of being pregnant isn't a reason to try to induce yourself at home, at 37 weeks. You didn't know this was a 40+ week process when you decided to go through with it?

i had to be induced, and it was horrible. i wished i could've done it naturally, and i can only hope my next pregnancy is a lot more easier. but i just had too many complications.
i understand where your coming from but also sometimes I'm in so much pain im like "babe just deliver him right here" i don't think they mean to be "selfish" when they try to rush things. i understand both sides ig.

@mrsgower, I was induced on the day I turned 43 weeks. I had no choice. I was 43 weeks, not dilated, not effaced, cervix hard as a rock, so I had no choice at that point. I would definitely pick natural over induction any day.
@ceeasquared, I really don't want to be induced. I have my 40 week appointment on Thursday and I'm going to have her try literally everything else she knows or ask if she even thinks she will come naturally before we go with being induced.
I wanted my son to go full term more than anything else, those mom's that start trying to induce at 36 weeks should really take a look at my son in the NICU at 36 weeks. you'd never want to have a baby that early again. it's immature and selfish to want your baby before they are ready. I'd have given my right arm for my son to go full term and not spend a week in the nicu and have to have blood drawn every hour or two or be on the CPAP machine for the first two days of his life or to have to syringe feed him , for days.. people need to get it together
@mrsgower, It really irritates me when I see someone say they want to be induced as if an induction is a cake walk. It's not something to want. I had one and compared to my first who was all natural, my induction was more painful, longer, and generally harder.
thank you. that's why I'm so irritated with this app right now because all these ladies are saying how they want to go ahead and have their babies or be induced and I'm like they aren't even done cooking yet. chill! I just want my baby girl to come when she is ready.
YAAAASSS! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 they don't hear you though. And there's always that one that's "well my doctor said!" Well your doctor isn't up to date boo, sorry not sorry but it's also apart of the doctors job to stay current with the constant changes in the career they chose.
Amen has much as I complain... I want Leah in as long she need to be.. Even tho she will be out in two weeks... But I hate seeing women complain about how they want the baby out... Get over it
@cubanese, With my son I went to 41 weeks, with my daughter I was medically induced the day I turned 43 weeks exactly. No one understands the discomfort of late pregnancy more than me lol, but I was never inclined to get them out early. I was just kind of like "Oh well. We're just gunna be here waiting then." I find it really offensive when women are trying to induce themselves at home at 37 weeks and there's other women on here praying there babies stay I'm that long and would give anything to go to 40 weeks
They just wanna hurry and feel movement, then hurry and get a bump, then hurry and show off a newborn. Then they want the newborn to hurry and grow up because babies are demanding and inconvenient. BUT they want their butts kissed for 9 months too.
These women are impatient and a bit selfish. And once the baby comes and there are complications or they realize just how much more demanding a newborn is, the rushing moms expect pity. Once they're awake for long hours and the cute outfits and gadgets don't stop the crying and exhaustion, it's a while other level of complaining. I think women like that should get puppies. They grow up fast, there's no pregnancy to complain about, and they can dress them up and show them off.

I always hear about "alot" of ladies getting induced at 37-39 weeks without a medical reason...but I honestly never see these posters. If you were "medically" induced between 37-39 with no medical reason, please share. Straight up being nosey, no judgement 🤷🏾♀️

I'm trying to understand why almost everyone is being induced? Is it safe? Are they inducing for medical reasons or just because?

Ladies. Please stop trying to induce labor, especially at frickin' 35-37 weeks. I've seen like 5 of you today. Lord have mercy. Let that baby cook!
Edit: If there is a medical reason for trying to induce early, that is different.
@dang_dridri, there was one mom on here a while back that would comment behind me alllll the time contradicting the new info, saying, "Well, even my high risk doctor says 37 weeks is full term," and wouldn't believe me when I told her otherwise. 😒 Smh.
