So I'm living with my dad for 2 more weeks, his cats are infested with fleas and they infested my dogs. I alone have spent 600 dollars in 6 weeks on toxic sprays, all natural flea repellents, anything they make I bought, used, and failed with. Tonight he hands me his debit card and tells me FINALLY too go get flea spot on treatment for his cats, I did, but I bought some for my dogs too, I get home and he flips out that I spent his money on my dogs even though this problem started because of his lack of cleanliness and his animals, he doesn't care that I've been spending my paychecks on this crap, not too mention using chemicals while pregnant. I just hope they haven't been on anything I've already moved over too my fiance's!😡😡
@talean89, of course :() I ve been pet grooming since I was 19yrs ,I'm 37 now this summer Will be 18yrs I 've been grooming I specialize in hand scissoring dogs, just Be careful with the chemicals since your pregnant always use enough water mix to the dilution
@nicipicky, its because the winter wasn't cold enough last year too kill em off like normal😠 @nygirl3rdbabymiami ok great I've now got a plan!! thank you!!
@talean89, i personally would bath them first with Adam's then within 24 hrs put the advantix on
The heat should kill them. So I think you're fine. When I first put the spot on treatment it seemed like everything was great for me too. Then about five weeks later I felt like there were a ton again. So I googled. It may just be a fresh batch that hatched. Once it starts going down again, you should be fine. Fleas can live forever. They're so annoying. 😑
@nygirl3rdbabymiami, I just got Advantix II spot on, i'm gonna bathe them with Adams on Monday then put that on and cross my fingers that it was worth spending his money and fighting lol
Adam's brand you can buy will work (no flea colleges work don't waste your money)
at home you can do dawn dish soap let it soak for 30min on your pet and Adam's can work at home if used properly also ventilation is a must for u and your pet
@nicipicky, I put all his and my daughter's clothes in the cars and the Trunks and left them there for a couple of days, I was told that they can't survive and heat above 120 degrees and if it's a 95-degree day its 140 degrees inside a car so I'm hoping that helped but for a lot of his stuff like the bassinet and swing I'm just hoping for the best because I move that stuff before I realized there was an issue.:-( it's amazing the stuff that I have gotten in the last 6 weeks and some of it helps for a little bit and then I'm right back to where I was
the salon i work at we use a all nautral dip,,the reg dips are very strong for a pet and people and need good ventilation around u and the pet
many groomers don't use dip as strong as a vet office but, many will still dip them. Bravecto has really good results, way better than frontline plus&nexgard;..just try to keep your pets and you safe;) wash your pets bedding also ,are u staying at your dad's long ? He sound s like he has a big flea issue
Omg lady. I feel your pain completely!! I'm dealing with this on my cats right now. I got the spot on treatment a little over a month ago and put it on them. and I'm just now starting to see a decrease in fleas. They're such a pain!!! I'm trying to get rid of them in our house without using chemicals. I'm so scared to. But it's been a battle. Hopefully once you move it out, it will get better. As long as you cleaned the stuff before you moved it I think you're fine. You may have to keep the spot on treatment monthly on your dogs for awhile though. That's my plan. 😬
@nygirl3rdbabymiami, they went too the groomer but my groomer doesn't dip anymore😩 I can't find a new one until I move and their vet won't use bravecto they tried to give me Nexgard then told me it may or may not cause death. I'm like why would you advertise this then? my dad doesn't believe there's a problem because he's barely gotten bit. I tried telling him fleas like mosquitoes like certain people more but "I'm fucking stupid" and don't know what I'm saying
I'm a Professional Pet Groomer,,,the only that will work 1st take to a groomer to be professionally dipped,#2 Use Bravecto it's a pill that's last 12wks,no flea or tick will stay on once this is on your pet#3 your dad's home is obviously a huge problem (stray cats &raccons; bring fleas in yards) he def needs to extra fumigate his home
it frustrates me because he's been blaming me but my dogs never had fleas before this and his girlfriend even said she's been bit up for months and months. like really how do u not fix the situation before this
the whole house is carpeted, and Dawn doesn't work as a preventative it just works for the moment. As soon as they're done with their baths and they go back into the area there flea infested again
soak them in Dawn soap the blue 1 it should rid them of the fleas

A few pictures i like of my son and his cat and dogs
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I need help!!! Something is wrong with my dog and I have no money or job to take him to the vet. I think hes dying idk
My dogs got the 3 month flea treatment in the beginning of June. I also treated the big cats. Georgie was too little to treat but he’s protected enough because it’s not an issue.
Now the neighbors dog is horrible. I can see from my yard how red and blotchy he is and most of his fur is missing. I’m about to go get something to put on him since his owner doesn’t seem to care. It’s so bad.

spent 80$ on a diaper bag and a 30$ matching wallet. can't believe I spent that much but I haven't bought my self anything in forever.
I use the gloves when using the Adams bath shampoo @nygirl3rdbabymiami , I breathed in the sprays a few times but try too stay clear! now for my room I'm using Ecosmart pest control spray, and lemon mixed with with hazel, I sprinkle salt around just in case and actually just started trying the cedar chips under my bed( I heard they were a deterant) hopefully something I do works!
