I have mastitis and it's been getting better. I noticed some painful hard lumps under my breast but still my breast and I can't seem to nurse on this side. I've been on antibiotics. I am use warm compressions and ice for swelling. I will also massage the area with the lumps. I cry every time and even when I hug or hold my kids...
I am nervous about losing the chance to breast feed!! I don't want to stop breastfeeding my son.
I need advice and help! I'm lost and nerves.

That happened to me. What worked was hot little towel on the spot and massaging it out. U might have a clogged duct. Those hurt, feels like a rock. Hopefully this helps. Keep massaging it with hot towel

happened to me twice...i used heating pads and kept massaging my breast constantly...and i also pumped every two hours so my milk wouldnt disappear.

Thank you for replying... My boobs are burning!! Is this still from mastitis or is it from my boobs getting used to breastfeeding??@krystalee @she.b.lo

it might be both...it takes a while for the infection to go away.

I just finished my antibiotics I'm trying to nurse and pump as much as needed. It hurts!! But I don't want to lose my milk! @she.b.lo

I agree it might be both. You can always call the doc and ask how long does the pain last, etc. Just to be sure. It might take a few days
