My birth story.
On Friday July 29th I went in to get my membrane swept because I wasn't progressing and she was due on Sunday the 31st. Later that night I was having some pretty intense contractions and thought that I might be in labor, but at around 2 a.m they completely stopped. So I went to bed. Saturday I had a few good ones here and there. Honesly thinking the sweep didn't work. Sunday rolls around (her due date) and still nothing. At around 5 o'clock get up to go to the bathroom and notice that I was really wet down there. Standing over the toilet I knew I had to go and tell my mom. I woke my mom up she told me to go to the bathroom and when I came out of the bathroom I felt a gush of water. It was then I knew my water broke. So we got ready I called my husband from work and told him what happened. He left work, came and got me, and my parents him and I all went to the hospital. We got there and they told me it definitely broke and I was still at a 2 and not thinned out hardly at all. So I'm admitted. After and hour or two I start having really bad contractions to where I'm in tears but their only reading a 15 on the monitor and when I had a contraction her heart rate dropped below 100. I got an epidural. At around 2 a.m they had to put internal monitors in because my contractions weren't reading and her heart rate wasn't staying steady. Oh and my BP was going crazy low. So now they can see the contractions and they noticed that the more intense the contraction the lower her heart rate dropped so they put me in all sorts of crazy positions to try and help but nothing was helping. At around 5:15 a bunch of nurses came rushing in telling me I'm going to have an emergency c-section. They were so concerned they didn't give my husband time to get dressed to walk back with me. So they put me on the table and my husband comes in just as they are opening me up and a minute later they say "ok here's baby" and I heard the sweetest sound any mother could ever hear. My husband and I lost it. He said she was beautiful. He brings her over to me and she is gorgeous! She was born on August 1st at 5:54 a.m at 6 pounds 14 ounces and 18 inches long. I found out the reason she was in such distress was because she swallowed some of her poop and her cord was around her neck. But my baby is now healthy and just beautiful. I am so in love. And I praise God that he got us through this
