Is anybody on here a labor and delivery nurse? I really want to become one but I was wondering how long it took, and all of the steps.

there are 2 ways you can go to become a Registered Nurse, either get an associates or a bachelors. an associate's program is generally about 2 years i believe and a bachelor's takes 4 years if you go straight through school full time. there is a state administered test you have to pass after graduating ( its called nclex) to officially get your license to practice as a nurse. from there its just about applying at different hospitals to get into the dept that you want (l&d in your case).....depending on the state you live in, it probably wont be difficult to get into the dept of your choosing at a hospital once youve graduated and passed nclex
