Do any of you guys have tips for breastfeeding ? I want to know as much as possible since I wasn't able to breastfeed long with my first child.
@sammie96, Nurse, nurse, and nurse: the more the baby is at the breast the more milk you'll make!. Make sure for a good latch in order to transfer milk effectively. Drink plenty of water! Don't watch the clock, instead watch for your babies cues.
Just latch baby on as much as possible. Pretty much every time he cries just to get your supply up and in. It will hurt but it only last a few days and the more baby latches the faster the pain will go away. Good luck!
Youtube saved our life. If he gets too frustrated and won't eat, syringe feed him a little and then latch. Your baby doesn't always eat exactly on the 2-3hr schedule, my little one cluster feeds in the evening and sleeps 4-6 hours after. If they are peeing, pooping, and gaining weight all is good. Breastfeed babies still get gas.
