I've never thought about breastfeeding until recently 🤔 thing is I don't want the skin to skin I want to pump... And I'm going back to work at 6weeks. I don't want him to go crazy with anyone else because he wants boobie milk

I don't know about exclusively pumping because I pump at work but bf when I'm with my LO. but I believe that pumping is more difficult because you may not respond to a pump like you would bf, also you may not be able to empty your breast efficiently enough to keep up ypur supply. however it is obviously done, and works for some people. you have to remember that even in the middle of the night, I'd baby is getting a bottle , you still have to pump for every feeding baby does. seems stressful to me and I like the cuddle time with my LO. as for the bottle thing, it took us some trial and error with which one my LO would take but she very rarely refuses it now that she's on a schedule with daycare. she learned quick that while there she got a bottle and on my lunch and after work she would get me. just food for thought. maybe someone that exclusively pumps would have more imput.

I had premies q months ago.....I pump with my LOs and just started breastfeeding with one of them....pumping is time consuming but for me it's worth it. If you choose not to put baby up to breast you could still do skin to skin, I get more milk when I've done it....some days you will get more milk than others....At the beg I pumped every 2 hours for about 6 weeks....now at night I pump every 3 to 4 and during the day 2 to 3. I'm no pro, but as tiring as it is, I wouldn't have done it differently.

it's worth it mama! @csectionmommy2 don't be discouraged at the amount either.... no more than a couple ounces total is normal I do believe. Start pumping ASAP once you deliver. best wishes
