Is anyone on here smoking weed while pregnant? I am a social worker and I deal with a lot of clients that chose to smoke weed while pregnant. I recently had a client that tested positive after giving birth and so did her child, the baby had countless birth defects. I wonder were they all due to her smoking weed? I wanted to ask her do she believe that she cause her daughter to have those birth defects by choosing to smoke weed? But I didn', I didn't want to hurt her feelings or make her feel guilty.People are always blaming their choice to smoke weed on feeling nauseated.

@rylees_mommy, thank God someone understands where I'm coming from. It saddens me that you got to convince ppl that doing a drug while they are pregnant is wrong. You would think I was telling them to stop taking their prenatal vitamins. It's wrong people point blank period.
@lyrya025, I smoked BEFORE I had my baby after I got pregnant I couldn't even stand the smell of it ! I had a family member that smoked while she was pregnant I mean like stone cold stoner smoked faithfully , the baby looked perfectly fine but her motor skills were horrible she didn't learn how to crawl until she turned 1 she's about 18 months and still can't walk and she couldn't hold her bottle until 10-11 months I don't see how mothers could put their babies at risk for their own pleasure
Yes, but understand all weed is not grown equally. When you smoke you really Dnt know what fertilizer or chemical used to grow it. I just can't imagine doing any drug whether safe or not while pregnant. I'm scared to take Tylenol. But seriously, if you test positive for THC while pregnant or after giving birth your most likely will be under investigation for neglect. It's wrong, we need to stop acting like it's ok, babies look fine, that does not necessarily mean that it's safe. If you love your baby just be drug free, shouldn't your baby have that right.
Yes, this is the first time I've had a client whose baby had so many birth defects and being that she smoked week, I wonder was it the cause? So many people test positive for marijuana after birth and end up being investigated by the department of children's and families. I just hate when on such an amazing occasion I have to knock on a mothers hospital door and assess her ability to take care of her child.
I do smoke weed but I quit while I was pregnant just because I didn't want to take any chances. I do know people who smoked during their pregnancy and their babies came out just fine.

I don't smoke weed. So I guess I will never understand. But I'm not sure why people smoke weed when they're pregnant!

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Yes!! I agree with you 100% when you sit there and you watch this baby who is 9 months old (the last time I've ever babysat her) have the motor skills of a newborn it's sad (she didn't even know how to roll over on to her belly) so just because they may LOOK fine you never know what the affect of the drug had on the child!! It can wait ! OMG IT CAN WAIT it breaks my heart to see or hear anything like that..
