I'm having the hardest time getting my son to latch on and breastfeed. He is a preemie and can't get my boob in his mouth good. So I have been pumping but his appetite has picked up. And when I pump I can't keep up.
my babies were premie @mommy_to_be.taylor. We used a nipple shield, once we got home it wad use nipple shield and some days they didn't even want to try. we are almost 2 months and just today 2 of them latched on twice with no shield! it gets better! I think their mouth gets bigger, sucking becomes easier and you get more relaxed. Not site how old yours is and how early he or she was but just give it time.
Try using the flipper method. I think that's what it's called. If used to get a deep latch and it works pretty well actually. There's some videos on YouTube that can teach you how :)
