Not to rain on anyone's parade but they may babble some words out to copy us or just to experiment with sounds, but they don't know what they are saying yet...my girl made all kinds of noises from the day she was born and said "oh yea!" a LOT because she heard daddy saying it, but she was just getting used to making sounds with her mouth, nothing more. They don't start to comprehend what they are saying and choosing to say it til much later on.

You couldn't find a babysitter?!

You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?
