Kinda being a paranoid new mommy maybe?? I have a two and a half week old little girl and she started being very full of mucus tonight in the nose and seems like back of her throat.... I have tried sucking it out and get some but she is acting like she needs to sneeze and can't and then the mucus seems to still be there, does anyone have any advice or anything I can do or am I blowing this out of proportion or not enough? Like should I take her to the doctor or call? Should I let her lay down and both of us try to rest? (Which will be hard for me) sorry I'm so anxious about all this along with other things.... Anything will help! Thank you
My little guy had this a few times ecspecially since he was preemie I would always freak out and they would always send us home saying to use saliene drops, suction his nose and to use humidifiers, he spit up a lot so it made it worse. But he ended up getting RSV and they gave us the same instructions because it depends on if it's viral or bacterial if meds will work and most of the time they won't they said it just has to run its course
I used saline drops and then suctioned my daughters nose with the nose Frida and used a humidifier. They were lifesavers. My daughter had a lot of mucus starting around 1 week old. I took her to the doctor because I was a paranoid ftm and doctor said it is very common for newborns to have a lot of mucus and to just keep doing what I was doing as long as she doesn't develop a fever because her lungs sounded great. If you're worried I would take her to the doctor though always better to be safe and take her and it be nothing than to not go and it be something.
call the doctor and take her in..my son started off likr that when he was. 5 weeks old..not trying to scare you in any way but he ended up having rsv visus..it was horrible horible 💔
I did the nose Frieda and she seems to be calming down so I must of lodged something loose, I almost wonder if she didn't spit up at a time I missed it and it went thru her nose as well causing this...
Thank you all so much ❤️
