cluster feeding also includes comfort nursing which means she can latch but is doing it because she misses you or wants comfort. it's absolutely normal & very good to establish your supple. until you regulate it's important to feed on demand & let baby latch. it tells your body to make the milk it needs to accommodate growing baby's appetite.

@verobaby, hmm.. i wasnt sure what she was doing... there was just like nothing and it hurt. she screamed everytime she fell asleep and fell off... She has cluster fed before during the day but she was getting milk too. idk if she was last nigjt or not

supplementing will do the opposite effect. what she is doing is cluster feeding. she is doing it to help increase your supply. you did not empty. by supplementing you are telling your body you to not need that much milk which will make her hungry because then you won't make enough. this is super normal. cluster feeding usually dies down after 6 weeks to 3 months. it harder in the first few weeks then becomes sporadic.
